I came across Lisa Leach at a confusing time in my small business venture. On one hand I was considering selling my salon and on the other hand I was thinking of expanding my small business holdings to include more tanning salons. I contacted Lisa to inquire about another similar business she had listed for sale. Rather than just sell me a business, Lisa decided to meet me with a presentation of valuable industry data that I had never seen before. It was only after Lisa's "education" that I was able to make a decision that otherwise may have cost me much time and money to figure out on my own. The value of a good broker far outweighs the cost or the hard lessons learned as alternatives. I consider myself to be a good businessman, however, any business person needs to know what they don't know. In this case I didn't know the business brokerage end of these specific business niches. Lisa Leach filled in this gap and I now feel comfortable that as a joint effort the best decisions have been made and accomplished. In regard to the actual service provided, Lisa treated this small business with the same level of attention and professionalism that she gave to the much larger listings which she was working with at the time. There was never a feeling of being out of touch with her. In fact, between e-mails and phone calls, hardly a week went by without an update of some kind. Lisa was also willing to try many different methods to get my business exposure, regardless of cost to her. Lastly, let me say a word about honesty. Lisa Leach is honest to a fault. I consider myself to be honest. Compared to Lisa, I look like a used car salesman. Lisa will do nothing that will ever come back to haunt anyone. (not even a little) Lisa's approach is that of total disclosure to both parties regardless of who she is representing. While I admit that this bothered me at first, it is now clear that this was the best way to conduct business. I have sold my business and have no regrets or feelings guilt. Should we have played with the truth or "massaged the gray area" during my sale, the two weeks of training with the new buyers would have been very uncomfortable. Instead, I not only sold them a business but made friends out of the buyers at the same time. In summary, Lisa deserves my highest praise and gratitude. Should I ever need to buy or sell a business (and I will), anyone reading this letter can be assured that there is only one person I will call. Lisa Leach is diligent, honest, professional and really nice too.
